一善堂 / ichizendo


明治初期、奈良市東向で初代が社寺、仏閣に納める漆器店として創業。奈良という土地柄、やがて古美術も扱うようになり、二代目の時代には主に仏教美術へと展開していった。井上馨、フェノロサ、岡倉天心も度々訪れる店だった。昭和49年、先代が東京にも出店。今は仏教美術ばかりではなく、現代の生活に取り入れやすい、生活骨董も多く扱う。

The primary is established in early years of Meiji era and east of the Nara City as shrine and temple and lacquer ware store dedicationed in Buddha.

The ancient curio would be soon also handled from the advantage of the region named Nara, and it mainly developed to the Buddhism art in the age in second owner. It was the store which Mr.Kaoru Inoue, Fenorossa and Mr.Tenshin Okakura (*) also frequently visits.
The previous owner is also opening a shop in Tokyo in 1974. The following are also mainly handled. Not only Buddhism art at present but also life curio introduced into the life in the present age.

The Ichizendo.COM Project seeks to preserve the sacred art of Japanese ancient arts. This art has its genesis in the sacred traditions which gave rise to the profound and ancient cultures of Japan.

* They are the people who efforts was made 3 persons in order to make negotiations to be governments to protect the curio article in World WarII, Many curio articles have remained in these 3 persons effort by the present age.
